How Do I work with the BRN
The Business Resource Network (BRN) is a team of workforce partners designed to assist the business community and support their success. When a business is interested in seeking the BRN's assistance with their unique business challenges, the business' owner (or CEO/key leader) makes contact with a member of the BRN to discuss how the business and the BRN might work together. A typical relationship between the BRN and a business includes:
A one-hour consultation between key leader(s) and/or owners of the business and several members of the BRN team. In this meeting, the BRN will ask questions and listen, probing to learn the most about the business and its top challenges. This is a fact-finding visit for the BRN members. All information shared between the business and BRN members is confidential.
The BRN members meet to discuss ideas and possible solutions for the major business challenges, as well as identify areas the business is doing well. A written "solutions package" is developed based on the expertise each BRN member brings from working in their profession and with other businesses in Central Oregon. The solutions presented are options and meant to be a menu for the business to choose what suits their situation the best.
A one-hour follow-up meeting between the business leaders/owner and the BRN is scheduled; at this meeting the solutions package of options and resources is presented and discussed.
A point-person from the BRN will follow-up with the business as needed to continue support and serve as a resource for the business. Click below to download a BRN brochure for more information or contact Andrew Spreadborough at the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council 541-504-3310 or at
